One of our most popular villas, Carefree sits on the island's north shoreline within the gated grounds of Mahogany Run Golf Course, and commands long-distance ocean views of Tortola and the Virgin Passage. There's convenient parking right at Carefree's entrance - it's just one step up to the front door. Carefree's elegant Great Room occupies most of the villa's main level, encompassing a fully-equipped kitchen, a workspace with computer with DSL line, Wi-Fi and a printer-copier, and living and dining areas. Glass slider doors open out to a spacious covered verandah skirting the entire front of the villa, comfortably furnished for alfresco dining with a view, and with seating for reading, cocktails, stargazing or blissful do-nothing relaxation.

On one end of the Great Room, just a step through another glass slider door, is the sunny pool and deck set with chaise lounges. On the opposite end is the air-conditioned master bedroom/bath suite with a romantic four-poster king bed and its own private verandah. A staircase leads to the lower level and to two more air-conditioned king bedroom/bath suites; both suites open out to a shared covered gallery. Every room at Carefree treats you to a panoramic sea vista dotted with green islands and cays. Artfully decorated, this bright and airy home with its spectacular views and sea breezes is only a short drive to golf, beaches, restaurants, and shopping. As is true in any popular destination, construction of new homes continues on most areas of St. Thomas. Below and to the left of Carefree is a construction site. June-2008 Update: There is some new construction near Carefree, but it's unusual - it's a very small concrete tower, not a house, and so far we have not had any comments about noise. The little tower is being built on the road coming down to the villas' neighborhood, quite a ways above and away from Carefree.
There are neighborhood dogs below Carefree who have barking spells from time to time. We do try to keep everything as peaceful as possible, but dogs will be dogs and they will bark from time to time for whatever reasons dogs have for barking.
