Holders House

Holders is a traditional Plantation House dating from the 17th century, set in 10 acres of formal and park gardens. The house has beautiful views over its huge pool and the polo ground to the Caribbean Sea.

The main house has 5 double bedrooms with air-conditioning and fans, three with bathrooms ensuite and two shower rooms plus a child’s/dressing room. The dining room seats 16 and there is a poolside table under a pergola for 12. The large verandah sitting area faces west to the sea and there is a fully air-conditioned study with TV and video and telephone and fax on separate lines. In the grounds are two 2 bedroom and shower bathroom cottages which are available if required by arrangement. The park is the home of the Barbados Opera and Theatre Season every March.

Location:
The House and its gardens adjoin the Sandy Lane Estate, situated high on Holders Hill, reached by a long drive. Holders House has complete privacy and cool breezes. Close by is Holetown, with its numerous shops, Bridgetown is 4 miles away with the Grantley Adams International Airport approximately 35 minutes away. Sandy Lane Hotel is just a few minutes drive for golf and its magnificent beach.

What is included:
This family owned Great House is let fully equipped and is run by the owner’s staff of a housekeeper, cook, maids and laundress who are augmented according to occupancy. Baby sitters can be arranged. The grounds are cared for by 3 gardeners. Food and drink are not included in the rate but can be supplied by prior arrangement.
